Atlas, the leading learning brand in Sri Lanka, demonstrated its unwavering commitment to
creating better learning environments in schools across Sri Lanka, by initiating an
infrastructure restoration and development project at Ethulgama Maha Vidyalaya in Kandy.
Marking the successful completion of the project, a special ceremony was held recently as
part of the Atlas SipSavi programme.
This initiative reflects Atlas SipSavi’s mission to ensure that ‘No child is left behind’, by
transforming schools into inclusive, stress-free learning spaces that allows students to reach
their full potential. Many schools across Sri Lanka, notably in rural areas, grapple with
infrastructure challenges, leading to a poor learning environment. Atlas’s continuous efforts
were further strengthened by its partnership with the Peradeniya National College of
Education thus supporting the enhancement of the school’s infrastructure that provides
students with a safer, more inspiring, and functional spaces, making learning fun.
Discussing the importance of such initiatives in shaping Sri Lanka’s future leaders, Ms.
Nadeeka, Head of Corporate Affairs of Atlas Axillia Co. (Pvt) Ltd. said, “Education is the
foundation of progress, and every child deserves access to a learning environment that
inspires curiosity and creativity. Following this infrastructure development programme, we
will be able to not only improve the physical infrastructure but also create a nurturing space
where students can dream, explore, and grow. This project reflects our belief that quality
education should be accessible to all, and by working closely with the public sector, we strive
to bring this vision to life”.

The project was enthusiastically received by the school and the local community, including
students, teachers, and parents, who all expressed gratitude for this undertaking. Addressing
both practical and aesthetic needs with this project, Atlas SipSavi is transforming learning
spaces to ensure students have a focused and engaging educational experience. Therefore,
this initiative is a clear reflection of Atlas’s dedication to holistic education, ensuring that
children in underserved communities have the tools and space they need to succeed.
Guided by its commitment to ensuring equal accessibility for learning, Atlas SipSavi
conducts numerous initiatives each year. These include providing school supplies, offering
financial support to students in financial distress, exemplified by its SipSavi Scholarship
Programme, and improving learning environments, through initiatives such as the SipSavi
Infrastructure Development Project. Together, these efforts are transforming the lives of many
